Back to coding

I’ve really been enjoying rolling up my sleeves and writing C# code again for one of my consultancy clients. The language has moved on in my 7 years out, but at least the backwards compatibility lets me use my version 3.5 knowledge whilst I upskill a bit. And instead of completely throwing away the BA skills I’ve worked so hard to develop, I’ve decided that a BA who can / and does occasionally code will be a unique skill to have. Any tips as to what to upskill in re: libraries, frameworks, language features, tooling etc – to get myself back to full speed as backend developer would be appreciated, please comment below.

Ask any project manager about the key to their success, and they will say that delivering a project is often more like a "dark art" or by chance, than a predictable science.

They may also say that a project going 'off the rails' was one of the most stressful things they have professionally experienced. And unfortunately, it’s all too common.
